You are probably reading this because you want to change something about yourself and have some fun at the same time. Maybe you want to get a bit stronger, more flexible, less sore and achey?
Perhaps you want to play more with your children/grandchildren or you're recovering from injury, surgery or illness. You've read dozens of articles and watched numerous documentaries.....and still you're not sure what's best for you.
This is where we fit in. Keeping You Active is our mission and the Physical Balance Clinics & Studio is where it can all get started.
We want to help you get better, whatever your starting point - we don't do miracles sadly, but we do have over 23 years working with patients, GPs, Hospital Consultants and other health professionals treating muscle, joint and nerve pain in North Hampshire.
Our newest Clinic offers the same experienced team and services which made us the UK Practice of the Year 2016, offering Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Sports Therapy, Remedial & Sports Massage, Podiatry & Foot Care and 1:1 Yoga.
But now we have a fabulous new Studio where we can run classes 7 days a week in Yoga and Pilates. We hope to add more services soon such as Tai Chi, BalletBeFit, Silver Swans, Body Balance...
We don't stop having fun because we grow old
we grow old because we stop having fun
Jolene has always had an interest in the human body, she started her yoga journey as a teenager (over 20 years ago!) and wanted to give to others what she found from yoga. Qualifying as a British Wheel of Yoga instructor in 2010 and then completing their Pregnancy module in 2013 so that she could also assist mums-to-be during the wonderful yet challenging time of pregnancy and childbirth.
Her thirst for knowledge of the way the body moves and works led Jolene to qualify as a Remedial Massage Therapist and subsequently onto a 5 ½ year Masters Degree in Osteopathy which she is due to graduate from in January 2020.
Her improved knowledge of physiology and anatomy has increased Jolene’s confidence in finding modifications and variations for her students as and when needed. Jolene feels yoga should be considered by everyone as a way to improve, keep or regain movement of the body, even if that means starting on a chair.
Jolene teaches mainly hatha yoga but brings in influences of ashtanga and vinyasa flows. Every class will have elements of forward bends, back bends, side stretches, twists, inversions and balances as well as some much deserved relaxation time.

I first became interested in movement when I was training for my first degree black belt in Kickboxing. This new interest inspired me to change my career from an office based job to becoming a BTEC Level 5 Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapist, qualifying from The London School of Sport Massage.
In 2016 I worked full time for Southampton Football Club as a soft tissue therapist, to the First Team. Working within the Premier League gave me a unique insight into elite sports and elite athletes, learning first hand how to deal with different injuries and adapting treatments to suit. During my time at Southampton FC, I was introduced to the world of Pilates by Suzanne Scott.
After working closely with Suzanne, I was inspired to leave the world of Premier League football and further develop my knowledge and career within movement.
After a year of training and assessment, I gained success in becoming a YMCA Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor, training at Pilates in Motion under Anoushka Boone.
My passion in life is to get people moving again, whether this is through massage or Pilates, I hope to offer a hands on solution to rehabilitation, injury prevention and functional movement.
